The joint project of EVPÚ and Huta Stalowa Wola, under the umbrella of the Polish group PGZ, was presented at the international IDEB 2026 exhibition in Bratislava. The Borsuk infantry fighting vehicle equipped with the Slovak remotely controlled TURRA 30 turret is intended primarily for export markets outside Poland, especially for the Middle East region.

Just weeks after EVPÚ a.s. and Poland’s defence group, Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ), signed a cooperation agreement, their first joint product made its public debut. The Borsuk vehicle, fitted with the Slovak TURRA 30 turret, was unveiled at IDEB 2026 in Bratislava.
At the heart of the configuration on display is EVPÚ’s remotely controlled TURRA 30 turret, which integrates a 30 mm cannon, a coaxial machine gun, and the SPIKE LR/LR2 anti-tank missile system. The turret offers hunter-killer functionality, automatic target tracking, and independent sights for the commander and gunner. Built as a modular system, TURRA 30 can be mounted on a variety of tracked and wheeled platforms.

The Borsuk itself is a next-generation infantry fighting vehicle developed by Huta Stalowa Wola, part of the PGZ group, to replace the ageing BVP-1. It is fully amphibious and combines modern armoured protection with high mobility. The crew consists of three soldiers, with room for six additional troops on board. At the trade fair it was displayed in desert camouflage, reflecting the project’s export ambitions toward customers in the Gulf and Middle East region.
“We are delighted that the Borsuk, fitted with our TURRA 30 turret, made its premiere right here in Slovakia, at the IDEB trade fair in Bratislava. It’s a concrete example of highly promising regional cooperation, where — with the support of the Ministries of Defence of Poland and Slovakia — we have combined Slovak and Polish technologies capable of competing on export markets,” said Michal Pavlík.
