The IDEB Defence & Security exhibition, held in Bratislava, ranks among the key defence and security industry events in Central Europe. This year’s 12th edition recorded a record participation of exhibitors and professional visitors from multiple European countries and beyond.

The TURRA 30 V10 represents the latest generation of a remotely controlled weapon system designed for both wheeled and tracked armoured vehicles. The new version reflects the evolving requirements of the modern battlefield, including countermeasures against unmanned aerial systems.

The primary armament consists of a 30 mm automatic cannon, complemented by a 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun and a twin launcher of Spike LR/LR2 anti-tank guided missiles. The turret is equipped with an independent gunner’s sight, an automatic target tracking system, and an integrated situational awareness suite based on 3D radars, missile launch detection, and gunfire detection, enabling crews to identify and evaluate incoming threats in real time. The configuration also includes the HARPIA active protection system designed to counter modern asymmetric threats, including unmanned aerial vehicles.

The new TURRA 30 V10 generation further introduces a significantly redesigned turret architecture with an optimised profile and enhanced protection levels. In place of the original commander’s sight, this configuration integrates the Gladius TWIN weapon station featuring two 7.62 mm machine guns and its own target detection system, extending the system’s capabilities in countering low-flying and small aerial targets. Compared to previous solutions, the multipurpose VIPER 300 drone pods are integrated directly into the turret structure, contributing to improved protection of individual components. The composite armour protection meets STANAG 4569 Level 4 standards.

“We greatly appreciate this award, which confirms that the Slovak defence industry is capable of developing technologically advanced solutions competitive at an international level. The TURRA 30 V10 was developed as a response to real operational experience and the requirements of the modern battlefield,” said Michal Pavlík, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of EVPÚ a.s.

EVPÚ a.s., based in Nová Dubnica, has long been engaged in the development and production of specialised defence technologies and remotely controlled weapon systems. The company cooperates with several international partners, including Rheinmetall, Patria, and BAE Systems Hägglunds, and operates across markets in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
